Qualified as a Candidate for Marina City Council!

Marina is at a crossroads.

As a 20-year resident, I’ve seen us grapple with budget constraints that have left streets pocked and in shambles, fire engines breaking down and basic services we deserve, like bathrooms in parks or suitable playing fields for our children ignored.

I took action, circulating a successful ballot initiative that’s finally bearing financial means to address those priorities. That grass-roots effort allowed me to meet you when I walked our streets, convincing me that you deserve a leader in touch with Marina.

I’m a community leader, having led Friends of the Marina Library, mobilizing volunteers to make our library a center of community. A former news reporter and law-school trained, I delved into issues with objectivity, asking tough questions, demanding accountability.

Now in the nonprofit field I know the power of collaboration - we can make impact when we work together for a common cause. My cause is giving Marina the street-level attention it deserves and collaborating on a council that works efficiently and swiftly.

My firefighter husband and I are raising triplet daughters in Marina, a place of diversity and opportunity. Please join your neighbors in voting Cristina4Marina on Nov. 3!
