Honoring Supporters - Juliana Veile

Juliana Veile is a Marina mom, a woman of faith, a community organizer behind programs for children and an inspiration to me!

She’s given generously to my campaign on a monthly basis. I met Juliana, a medical instrument tech at a local hospital who works nights, at a Marina Youth Arts fundraiser (I am a board member, she asked my husband if he was Mr. Cristina)!

Off the bat, Juliana had ideas for programs, involvement, and better yet - she was more than willing to head them up! I pulled her into the Friends of the Marina Library and she came up with, organized and held a kids dance party that attracted a few hundred people! She has sooo many ideas and as much energy. I love having her in my circle mentoring her leadership, bringing her into important community efforts.

When I contemplated running for Marina City Council, it was Juliana who said “You’ve got to do it girl,” baby Jazzy bouncing on her hip. And of course Juliana promptly offered to help!

I think of Juliana as my motivation. She’s who I think of when I have any moments of doubt or when whispers reach me of why a mom with young children would run when she should be home with her family (and other why-I-shouldn’t run suggestions).

Juliana’s wisdom and faith are bright lights that help guide me. For that I am forever grateful!

We are a strong moma team in Marina, raising our kiddos and wanting the best of recreation, parks and opportunity. I am fueled by what we WILL do with a fierce Marina moma on Marina City Council. Exciting promise, huh!
