“Give Back As Big As You Can”

As I write my thank you notes to supporters, I must share a special thanks to my family! My Tia (aunt) Leticia Medina showed the best of service to humanity that I can only hope to emulate.

Leticia, or Tia Lupita as I called her, was a catholic nun, working with the poor in South America and the Caribbean. She was an educator of the ill effects of lead for the San Francisco Department of Public Health, using her Spanish language skills to describe the paint and other around the house products that could poison children.

Tia Lupita was a world traveler, coming up from humble start in a tiny town in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, a leader of community, her family and community.
She insisted we travel, open our minds, educate ourselves and give back as BIG as we can!

Thank you, Tia for giving me the passion to serve others and for investing in my campaign for Marina City Council!
